Your Thanksgiving Inventory . . .

Thanksgiving is only three days away . . . so today, since you aren't likely to see the children in your ministry again before Thanksgiving, this post about being thankful is for you. Are we truly thankful people? Do we get so "caught up" in the business of life we don't spend time "taking inventory" about all of God's many, many blessings in our lives?  Take a moment to watch this skit about "Your Thanksgiving Inventory" from the skitguys - it is sure to bring a smile to your face . . .

Okay, so what are you thankful for? What would your "inventory of blessings" look like? It should have simple, everyday things - even like zippers :^) - and those things which allow you to personally see the hand of God in your life. I'm thankful for God's love, grace, forgiveness, His Word, my husband, my children, my grandchildren, my family, the jobs God has blessed us all with, our homes, ministry opportunities and I'm thankful for the opportunity to write this blog and for each of you who read it! I have so much to be thankful for - my blessing inventory is overflowing!

As you contemplate your "thanksgiving inventory" make the commitment to stop and think about it each and every day, all year long . . . not just for Thanksgiving. Make an early "New Year's resolution" to be a truly thankful person . . . all the time!
